Role-Based Documentation with Screenshots
· One min read
Documentation has been restructured with:
- Role-based views: Choose your role (Admin, Department Lead, Team Lead, Member) to see customized documentation
- Real screenshots: Every feature page includes actual app screenshots for each user role
- Renamed sections: Apps are now called Development, Operations, and Production
- Interactive tabs: Switch between role views on any page
What Changed
- "rax-dev" is now referred to as Development
- "rax-ops" is now referred to as Operations
- "rax-prod" is now referred to as Production
- Each feature page now has role-specific guidance using interactive tabs
- New role selector on the documentation homepage
- Contributing guide updated with screenshot capture process and role-based content guidelines
- Screenshots are being captured progressively as apps are stabilized
Screenshot Status
| App | Status |
|---|---|
| Development | Screenshots captured for admin, dep_lead, team_lead, member roles |
| Operations | Screenshots captured for admin, dep_lead, team_lead, member roles |
| Production | Pending — app pages are being restored after codebase optimization |
How Role Tabs Work
Every feature page now uses Docusaurus Tabs with groupId="user-role". Select your role once and it persists across all pages. You can also share role-specific URLs using the ?role= query parameter.
