Enquiries capture incoming sales leads and track them through a status pipeline. They represent the first stage of the sales lifecycle.

Viewing Enquiries

Enquiries can be viewed in two modes:

List View

  1. Go to Sales > Enquiries
  2. See all enquiries in a filterable table
  3. Filter by status, date range, or salesperson
  4. Click an enquiry to view details

Kanban View

  1. Go to Sales > Enquiries > Kanban
  2. See enquiries organized as cards in status columns
  3. Drag cards between columns to update status
  4. Quick visual overview of your pipeline

Enquiry Statuses

NewFreshly captured enquiry
ContactedInitial contact made with the lead
QualifiedLead confirmed as a real opportunity
Proposal SentQuote or proposal has been sent
NegotiationIn active negotiation
WonDeal closed successfully
LostDeal did not close

Creating an Enquiry

  1. Go to Sales > Enquiries
  2. Click New Enquiry
  3. Fill in the form:

TitleShort description of the enquiry
ClientSelect an existing client or enter new contact details
SourceHow the lead came in (phone, email, referral, etc.)
PriorityLow, Medium, High
Expected ValueEstimated deal value
Expected Close DateWhen you expect to close
DescriptionDetailed notes about the enquiry
Assigned ToSalesperson responsible
  1. Click Create

Managing Enquiries

From the enquiry detail view:

  • Update status — Move through the pipeline stages
  • Add notes — Record interactions and updates
  • Convert to quote — Create a quote directly from the enquiry
  • Edit details — Update expected value, close date, etc.

Converting Enquiries

When an enquiry progresses, you can convert it:

  • Enquiry → Quote — Create a formal quotation from the enquiry details
  • The enquiry status updates automatically when a quote is created

Use the Kanban view for a quick visual overview of your sales pipeline. Drag cards between columns to update statuses without opening each enquiry.
