Milestones represent key checkpoints in a project's timeline. They help track progress and ensure deliverables are met on schedule.
Viewing Milestones
- Open a project from the Projects page
- Go to the Milestones section
- Milestones are displayed as expandable cards showing:
- Milestone name and description
- Target date
- Current status
- Associated documents

Milestone Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Not yet started |
| In Progress | Work toward this milestone has begun |
| Completed | Milestone deliverables are done |
| Overdue | Past the target date and not completed |
Creating Milestones
Milestones are created during the project creation wizard or added later:
- Open the project detail view
- Go to the Milestones section
- Click Add Milestone
- Enter:
- Name — What the milestone represents
- Target Date — When it should be completed
- Description — Details about the deliverable
- Click Save
Milestone Documents
Each milestone can have its own documents:
- Expand a milestone card
- Click Upload Document
- Select a file to upload
- The document is linked to that specific milestone
This is useful for attaching deliverables, reports, or sign-off documents to the relevant milestone.
Approving Milestones
Administrators can review and update milestone statuses:
- View pending milestones on the Dashboard (admin view) or in the project detail
- Review the milestone progress
- Update the status as appropriate
tip
Milestones that are past their target date will automatically show as overdue, making it easy to identify project delays.
